Wedge gate valve Type A-KFB510 - PN10 - GS-C 25

Description

ACI short pattern wedge gate valves Type KFB-510 are equipped with an outside, rising stem. They can be installed in both flow directions. Wedge gate valves are not suitable for control valve operation, they are exclusively stop action valves.

These gate valves are available in nominal sizes from DN 40 up to DN 2400.

The technical basis for manufacturing the wedge gate valve type KFB-510 is the standard EN 1984 (previously DIN 3352). Face to face dimensions conform with EN 558-1 Series 14 (previously DIN 3202-F4)

Each short pattern wedge gate valve undergoes a pressure and leakage test after assembly, according to the requirements of DIN EN 12266, with 1.5-fold nominal pressure for the valve body and 1.1-fold nominal pressure for the seat.

The gate valves are intended for non-corrosive liquids, gases and vapours. The industrial standard DIN EN 1092-1 prescribes the permissible operating pressure depending on the operating temperature. The allowable operating temperature is limited to 400°C

The short pattern gate valve’s body is made from cast steel GP240GH / 1.0619 (previously GS-C25). Other materials are available on request.

The body and wedge seatrings are in stainless steel 1.4021 / X20Cr13, which is also the default stem material. The stem is sealed by an re-adjustable gland seal, which has to be periodically checked and readjusted as required during operation. The gland seal as well as the gasket between valve body and bonnet are made of graphite.

The flanged ends are drilled according to DIN EN 1092-1 PN 10 or PN 16. on request, we can deliver the short pattern wedge gate valves with flanges according to ASME B16.5, BS, JIS or other standards.

The ACI short pattern gate valves of series A-KFB are operated using a handwheel or a gearbox, optionally equipped with a chain wheel. If required, we automate the gate valves using electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. If individual signalisation and controlling of the actuators is needed, locally or from a centralised control panel, we will equip the actuators accordingly, with motor control, PROFIBUS connection or other systems.
