ACI long pattern wedge gate valves type A-KOB-516 are equipped with an external rising stem and a flexible wedge. Like all our wedge gate valves, they are tight in both flow directions. They can be used for operation as a stop valve, but they are not suitable for control operation.

Our wedge gate valves are available in nominal sizes ranging from DN 40 to DN 2400 and provide a full opening across the full range of sizes.

The design and manufacture of the gate valves type A-KOB-516 is based on EN 1984, previously DIN 3352. The face to face dimensions are defined in EN 558-1 Series 15 (previously DIN 3202-F5).

After assembly, each valve is tested for pressure and leakage according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and DIN EN 12266. The pressure test is performed using 1.5-fold nominal pressure, the seat leakage test with 1.1-fold nominal pressure.

Application: non-corrosive liquids, gases and vapours. The allowable operating pressure is defined in DIN EN 1092-1 depending on the temperature. The allowable temperature ranges from -10°C to +400°C.

The gate valve body is made from cast steel GP240GH / 1.0619 (previously GS-C25). Other materials are available on request.

The body and wedge seats are made of stainless steel 1.4021 / X20Cr13. The default stem material is 1.4021. The stem is sealed using an adjustable gland seal, which has to be checked and tightened regularly. The gland seal as well as the cover gasket are made of graphite.

The flanges of the wedge gate valves A-KOB-516 are drilled according to DIN EN 1092-1 PN16 with sealing faces type B1. On request, the gate valves of nominal size DN 200 and larger can be delivered with flange drillings according to pressure rating PN10. Of course, other flange standards like ASME B16.5, BS, JIS and more are also available.

Operation of ACI gate valves series A-KOB is done via handwheel, optionally with a gearbox or chain wheel. If desired, automation using electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators is also possible. If individual control and feedback signals are required, the actuators will be equipped with motor control, PROFIBUS or other interfaces.
