ACI wedge gate valves with outside screw and yoke type A-KRB-525 are equipped with an external, rising stem. They are sealing in both flow directions and provide a full opening. Wedge gate valves are pure stop valves and not suitable for flow control operation.

Design and manufacturing of the gate valves is performed according to EN 1984 (replacing the previously used DIN 3352). EN 558-1 Series 15 (previously DIN 3202-F4) defines the face to face dimension.

After assembly, the gate valves are tested for pressure and leakage. The requirements for these tests are defined in DIN EN 12266 as 1.5-fold nominal pressure for the body and 1.1-fold nominal pressure for the wedge seat.

Applications for these gate valves are non-corrosive liquids, gases and vapours. DIN EN 1092-1 defines the maximum allowable working pressure dependent of the temperature. Highest allowable temperature is +400°C.

The gate valves are manufactured in cast steel GP240GH / 1.0619 (previously GS-C25). On request, other body materials are available.

The body and wedge seatrings are made of stainless steel 1.4021 / X20Cr13. Default stem material is likewise 1.4021. The stem is sealed using an re-adjustable gland seal, which has to be checked and re-tightened after initial operation and during maintenance works periodically. The gland seal and bonnet gasket are made of graphite.

The flanged ends of gate valves A-KRB-525 are according to DIN EN 1092-1 in PN 25 with sealing faces type B1. Optionally, the wedge gate valves are available with flanges according to ASME, BS, JIS or other standards.

The ACI wedge gate valves type A-KRB are operated using a handwheel. Gearbox or chain wheel actuators are also available. If requested, we deliver the valves automated using electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. If individual control and feedback signal of the actuators is needed, we equip them with motor control, PROFIBUS interface, etc.
