ACI wedge gate valves Type A-KRB-540 with outside screw and yoke got a full gateway over the entire nominal diameter range. They are sealing in both flow directions at full operating pressure. The stem is external and rising. Like all gate valves, they are not suitable for control operations, they are pure stop valves.

Manufacturing of the gate valves is performed according to EN 1984 (replacing the previously used DIN 3352). The face to face dimensions are defined in EN 558-1 Series 26 (previously DIN 3202 F7).

In compliance with the European PED 2014/68/EU each gate valve is subjected to a pressure test. DIN EN 12266 defines the test conditions as 1.5-fold nominal pressure for the valve body and 1.1-fold nominal pressure for the valve seat. The test medium is water at room temperature.

These gate valves are suitable for non-corrosive liquids, gases and vapours. The highest allowable operating pressure is defined in DIN EN 1092-1 and depends on the operating temperature. The permissible temperature range is -10°C up to +400°C.

As body material, we use cast steel GP240GH / 1.0619 (previously GS-C25). Alternatively, the gate valves can be manufactured in other materials.

The valve body and wedge seat are in stainless steel 1.4021 / X20Cr13. The stem is made of 1.4021 and sealed using an re-adjustable gland seal. This gland seal must be checked and re-tightened after initial operation and during regular maintenance intervals . The gland seal and the cover gasket are made of graphite.

The gate valves flanged ends are executed according to DIN EN 1092-1 in PN 40, with sealing faces type B1. Other flange patterns, like ASME, BS, or JIS, are also available.

The ACI gate valves type A-KRB are operated using a handwheel. Alternatively, we equip them with a gearbox or chain wheel. If requested, automation using electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators is available. For remote control and feedback signal, the gate valves can be equipped with motor control, PROFIBUS interface, etc.
