Bi-directional Knife gate valve Type S22 with monobloc enclosure

Description

The main feature of the ACI gate valve type S22 is the design of the housing. It consists of two parts bolted together and allows sealing in both flow directions. The body has an almost full and smooth passage, which leads to a high flow rate with minimal pressure loss. Internal guide bushes ensure improved sliding behavior and increase the stability of the gate. The stem is available either rising or non-rising.

The seal is located between the two parts of the body and is fastened by means of the body screws. For valves from DN50 to DN600, the seal has a metal core so that it can withstand high pressure and the valve can always be closed correctly. For valves above DN600, the two halves of the body have a ledge on the outside to prevent the seal from slipping. The design of the seal provides an absolutely flat and smooth fit, which prevents foreign matter from sticking to the closing area.

The ACI knife gate valves type S22 are available in nominal diameter DN 50 - DN 2000; larger sizes are also available on request.

The gate valves S22 are designed for mounting between flanges according to EN 1092-1 PN 10. Alternatively, other connection dimensions are also available, for example EN 1092-1 PN 6, 16 or PN25, ASME B16.5 Class 150, BS,....

Up to DN 600, the overall length of the gate valves corresponds to standard EN 558-1 basic series 20.Larger sizes are designed in accordance with the factory standard.

All valves are hydrostatically tested in accordance with EN 12266. The test reports and material test certificates acc. to EN 10204-3.1 can be provided on request.The pressure test is performed as follows:

Body test = operating pressure x 1.5

Closing test = operating pressure x 1.1

ACI Knife Gate Valves type S22 are suitable for the use of gases and liquids with a low solids content, e.g. for sewage treatment plants, paper and pulp industry, food industry, chemicals and mining.

The maximum permissible operating pressures and temperatures depend on the nominal size and the sealing materials used.

The body is available in GG-25 / GJL 250, GGG 40 / GJS-400 or stainless steel 1.4408. The stem is made of stainless steel AISI 303 / 1.4305, the gate of AISI 304 / 1.4301. Material 1.4571 or other grades can be supplied on request. The support plates are made of steel and, in the version with actuator, is designed as hand protection. All rust-prone components are protected with an EPOXY coating (RAL 5015 - blue), the layer thickness is approx. 80 µm. The seals and stuffing box packings are available in a wide variety of materials, e.g. NBR, EPDM, FKM, PTFE, etc..

The ACI Knife-gate valves type S22 are available with handwheel as well as with gearbox or chainwheel. Up to DN 200 a version with quick closing lever can be supplied. On request, we also mount pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators.
