Oval Longitudinal Sight Glass Type 338 PN16
The ACI tank sight glass type 338 for welding-in or welding-on is suitable for visual inspection in the tank for pressures up to 16 bar. The sight glass enables reliable monitoring of the filling level with a viewing width of 50 mm. The tank sight glass type 338 is a robust oval tank sight glass that combines the advantages of a round tank sight glass for visual inspection of the inside of the tank with the possibility of level indication.
The glass material we use is industry proven borosilicate glass similar to DIN7081. Borosilicate glass is already highly resistant to most acids in its original state, but should strong alkaline media be present, it is possible to use one of our custom-made mica or FEP discs to protect the glass surface.
The gaskets of the fitting is done with flat gaskets adapted to your needs from an extensive range of materials, which, in addition to the widely used fibre gaskets, also offers more sophisticated materials such as PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, graphite and many branded gaskets. Our tank sight glasses type 330 are made of the high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti), which our customers have appreciated for years. Like most of our fittings, the Type 338 is available in a variety of materials on request.
