Description
ACI short pattern wedge gate valves Type A-KFB-610 are tight in both flow directions and are equipped with an rising stem. Gate valves are only suitable as stop valves and cannot be used for control operation.
The gate valves are available in nominal sizes from DN 40 to DN 2400.
Our short pattern wedge gate valves type A-KFB-610 are based on the industrial standard DIN EN 1984 (previously DIN 3352). The face to face dimensions follow the prescriptions of EN 558-1 Series 14 (previously DIN 3202-F4).
After the final assembly, each gate valve undergoes a pressure and leakage test according to DIN EN 12266, with 1.5-fold nominal pressure for the valve body and 1.1-fold nominal pressure for the valve seal.
These short pattern wedge gate valves are suitable for corrosive liquids, gases and vapours. The maximum permissible operating pressure is defined in the industrial standard DIN EN 1092-1 and depends on the operating temperature. The operating temperature is limited to 400°C.
The gate valve’s body is manufactured from austenitic chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel GX5CrNiMo-19-11-2 (stainless steel 1.4408). Alternative materials are available on request
The stainless steel gate valves are metal seated. Default stem material is stainless steel 1.4401. A re-adjustable gland seal tightens the stem towards the exterior of the valve. After the start-up and during operation, this gland seal must be checked and if necessary re-tightened. The gland seal as well as the cover gasket between valve body and bonnet are made of graphite by default.
The short pattern wedge gate valves type A-KFB-610 are equipped with flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1 PN 10 or PN 16, with sealing surfaces type B1. On request, flanges according to ASME B16.5, BS, JIS or other standards are also available.
The ACI short pattern wedge gate valves series A-KFB are operated using a handwheel. Gearbox or a chain wheel are also available. If requested, we deliver the gate valves automated with electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. If individual signalisation or control are required, the actuators can be equipped with motor control, PROFIBUS or other accessories.
