OVAL WEDGE GATE VALVE Type A-KOI 516 - PN16 - GS-C25

Description

The ACI cast steel wedge gate valves of type A-KOI-516 are equipped with an internal, non-rising stem. They are purely stop valves and not suitable for control operation. Like all our wedge gate valve they are tight in both flow directions.

Our wedge gate valves Type A-KOI-516 are available in nominal sizes from DN40 to DN600. Other dimensions are can be offered on request.

Production of the gate valves is performed according to DIN EN 1074-1 /EN 1171, replacing the previously used DIN 3352. EN 558-1 Series 15 (previously DIN 3202-F5) defines the face to face dimensions.

The gate valves are suitable for liquid or gaseous, non-corrosive media. The maximum allowable operating pressure is 16 bar and depends on the operating temperature. The Pressure/Temperature relation follows the definitions of DIN EN 1092-1. The highest permissible operating temperature is +300°C.

Within the legal framework of the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, each gate valve is subjected to a pressure test. This test is performed according to EN 1074 / EN 12266 using water at room temperature. The valve body is tested at 1.5-fold nominal pressure, the valve seat at 1.1-fold nominal pressure.

The gate valve consists of cast steel GP240GH / 1.0619 (GS-C25). The wedge seatare made of stainless steel 1.4021 / X20Cr13, which is also the default stem material. The stem is sealed using a gland seal, which needs to be checked and tightened periodically after initial operation. Gland seal and bonnet gasket are made of graphite.

The gate valve flange connection is DIN EN 1092-1 PN 16 by default, with sealing faces type B1. On request, we deliver the flanges of size DN 200 and larger with hole patterns according to PN 10.

Generally, ACI gate valves type A-KOI are operated manually using a handwheel, gearbox or chain wheel. On request, we offer automated gate valves using electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. If a remote feedback and control is desired, inductive or mechanical limit switches are available to signal the valve position to the main control panel.
